Views not being counted on my site

  • I submit web links to a film critic’s society (I’m a member) and on their site my view counts are quite high and rising but these are not being counted my end. For example, one film review has just broken 2K and on my site the views for the review shows double digits. Yet when I go to their site and click the web link, it automatically sends me back to my site.

    Any clarification/help would be gratefully accepted.

    Also the counts that are registering on the post are not on the site stats..

  • The same with me. I am using the stats of the theme and there are some differences: 139 in the theme and 493 in the plugin. Something is fishy.

    @iostar you have to check you PVC settings so you know what is the way of collecting views and ajdust it to your needs.

    @mikesfilmtalk, counters might be using different methods of registering pagevisit as “view”. You’d have to precisely know both to compare. In PVC you can control that via settings and setup your personal preferences.
