vimeo auto thumb custom size blurry

Hi, that depends on how you have customize the thumbnail image. If you are using CSS to resize the image, make sure the re-sizing is not blurring the image.

Can you share what code you have used? Can you also share your URL?

to follow up on your question … in using the CSS to resize it, i just set new width, height dimensions. i believe i’ve kept the aspect ratio the same …

so is this something controllable verses how you pull it in? or is this a setting via vimeo.

on a similar topic, is there a way to auto-display the vimeo title?

The blurring image could be related to the image it grabs from the video clip. You might not have any control over this unfortunately.

What you could do to test my theory is search for a different video clip and add the same shortcode as above to see if it the image is also blurry.

I just made some more testing and it looks better if you reduce the size of the image.

at the bottom of this page, i’ve added in another version with someone else’s pulled in vimeo … same thing, blurry.

i wonder if there’s a setting on vimeo for this? do you have any ideas on pointing me in the right direction here?

Hi, I just check the smaller size image and it looks a lot better than the larger size images. I am using Firefox browser. It looks crystal clear on my browser. “remember I am talking about the smaller image at the bottom of the page.”
