• Hi!
First off, thanks for this amazing plug-in. You have made my job 100000% easier!
I just implemented vimeo video tracking. Works like a charm except for 1 thing.

I created a custom variable {{vimeoPercentage}} based on mediaPercentage.
I have a GA Event tag which uses {{vimeoPercentage}} as the event action when it’s triggered by gtm4wp.mediaPlaybackPercentage.
It all works fine, except the tag fires with the event action value of “undefined” for {{vimeoPercentage}} instead of “0” when the video starts.
When the mediaPlayerState becomes “play”, I see {{vimeoPercentage}} changes from “undefined” -> 0 -> 10 -> … as the video plays.
I only see the trigger fire for “undefined” and “10”. Shouldn’t it fire for “0” instead of “undefined”?
Also, it doesn’t fire for 100. So I have to try to combine my data in reports to get the mediaPlayerState of ended to represent 100% complete.

    Many thanks,
    Jannette

    Hi,

Could you post some screenshots about your GTM variable that reads the mediaPercentage variable from the data layer? Also about the tag where this is being used as an event parameter.

Hi Thomas, thanks for responding. Here’s a link to see screenshots of the variable, tag and trigger.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

That is strange, it should work as expected.
Could you also share a preview link from your container? With that, I do not get access to your container but I can turn on the preview panel of GTM while browsing your site.
