Vimeo player not working on mobile Brave browser

  • Hi!

    The basic Vimeo video block doesn’t work on the Brave Browser on either iPhone or iPad. I don’t know any code so I can’t figure out why?

    It only shows a blurred image of the first frame in the video. No playback options or anything. Just a blurry image.

    Please help! ??

    Did u try clearing cookies and cache on your mobile browser? Also, try slashing video quality a bit and see if that works.

    The site you linked to requires my phone number and full name for registration. I don’t give that away so I’m not going to use that site.

    The video works fine on all desktop browsers I tried – Brave, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Firefox, MS Edge.
    On mobile it works fine on – DuckDuckGo, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Firefox, MS Edge.

    Brave mobile the only browser where it doesn’t work.

    As far as I can tell, my Brave mobile browser deletes all history and cache on exit. So there is nothing for me to clear out.

    I can’t slash video quality cause it’s not my video. I’m just trying out the function as I’m building my own site. I’ve tried several different videos and non work on Brave mobile.

    The forum link is about videos from the media library. My issue is streaming from vimeo when embedding it.

    Yeah I should have known that, I use brave on my desktop. I tried inspecting from my browser but I cannot recreate the issue whatsoever.

    I know but irrespective of where those are hosted, it functions differently on phones. It might not specifically be related to your issue though.

    Try and embed using the classic editor and see how that works out.
