VIPPS Login dont work with Samsung Internet Browser

    Hello!

    I have discovered that “Login with VIPPS” do not work when the end user is using the “Samsung Internet” built in browser on Samsung S10 android device.

    The end user hits our “logon Page”, where we are using this shortcode:
    [login-with-vipps text=”Log in med VIPPS” application=”woocommerce”]

    The user follows all steps requested by VIPPS, register it self, confirms email.
    Once this process is completed and VIPPS has done the authentication, the end user are redirected back to the same page as opened, but logon has not carried out.
    The end user then just sees the logon with vipps button.

    Please assist

    Hi Again!

    It seems that is not the browser that is the issue.

    Please just close this topic and I will create an new more correct topic!

    Just wondering: is the ‘standard’ browser on this phone something else than Samsung internet or the other you tried, and is the Vipps app installed on the same phone?

    For security reasons, there is a cookie installed on the browser where you *start* the login process; but on a phone, the Vipps app can normally just send you back to the system browser, not the one that opened the app. The standard browser may then not have this cookie, which makes login fail.

    It’s currently hard to fix this in a secure manner, but if that was the case we’re interested in hearing about it.
