    Hi there,

    The order status for virtual/downloadable products will only go to “Completed” if the payment was successful.

    From what you’re describing so far, it sounds like IPN notification failures are happening and WooCommerce never registers that the order has been paid for. With this in mind, which payment gateway are you using? Are you seeing any clues as to what’s happening in the payment gateway debug logs or order notes for that on-hold order?
