• Hi,

    I have set up static page on my blog.
    I much better prefer the static version instead of latest blog homepage because of all the carousel and siderbars option.

    But I would like to have older posts link at the bottom of the 8 last posts and I don’t know to add it.

    Even when I change the homepage to be “latest posts” page there is no “older posts” link at the bottom of the page.

    Please help ??

    Hey,
    Sorry for the delay. You can still use carousel and sidebar options when your page is set as a latest post page.

    Are you referring to pagination? How many posts do you have set to show in Settings > Reading?

    Hannah,
    Thanks for reply ??

    Even though in the Setting/reading I have set max. nr of posts displayed as for 10 or even now I changed it to 14 it still displays only 8 posts and no ‘older posts’ link ??

    I would also ask you if it’s possible to lift up a little the post columns so that it will be in line with my picture on the right sidebar?

    So right now your posts are being added through theme options > home layout. The limit number of posts for that is 8 and pagination is not an option. If you want all your posts to display you need to set your page as a latest post page (Settings > Reading). But you said the pagination was not working even when you set it up that way?

    You can use this css to move remove the extra top padding. Just add this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings:

    .home-padding {
      padding: 0 0 30px;
    }

    When you make the front page your “post page” in the settings > reading. You have to enabled the “page content” Not the latest posts in your theme options > home layout.

    see this: https://www.kadencethemes.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/

    Just a note that isn’t not an option in the free theme to have two columns of posts and pagination on the home page. You can do it with one column though.

    Thanks a lot – the css kod help me out, and the info about enebaling page content.

    Although – it’s REALLY impossible to have two columns and pagination in the same time?
    One column doesn’t look very appealing, as the pictures are so huge and the reader has to scroll and scroll down ??

    MamaInspiruje, if you wanted to make this work in the free theme you would have to edit a child theme. Sorry. The premium version does have an option for this.

    Hannah, once I start make money thorugh my blog I’ll definitely go for premium Virtue ?? But for now I’ll edit the child theme.

    Could you please tell me how to do it? Maybe there is a tutorial or something ?

    Working with and creating a child theme is a bit beyond the scope of support, it’s more technical and usually requires some knowledge of code languages like: php. We can point you in the right direction but writing the specific code to make a two column loop for you front page that includes pagination isn’t something we can help with since it’s pretty involved (more then a simple couple line change in the theme templates). Sorry.

    Here is a link about child themes though: https://www.kadencethemes.com/child-themes/

    Hi, Mamalnspiruje:

    I really like your site…good job!

    I was just wondering what plugin did you use to have the facebook box pop up right when someone goes to your site?

    Thanks in advance,

    MK ??
