Virtue or Pinnacle Header Image

I am thinking about buying the Virtue or Pinnacle theme but in the free version I am having a lot of problems trying to change anything. For example, I can’t find how to change the header image and it’s driving me crazy!
I can’t find where I can add the menu buttons either. Is ver difficult to use.
