• Hi, I have WP Antivirus installed on the site. It claims that there is a virus in the files.
I updated to the latest version, still shows:
    Virus in:
    /themes/asteria-lite/asteria-config.php
    Any ideas?

I’m pretty sure the copy on www.ads-software.com is not infected with any virus.

See https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/asteria-lite/0.8/asteria-config.php for details. It’s a 1,126 line PHP file but there does not appear to be anything wrong with that file.

If your WP Antivirus is saying it’s infected then either it’s wrong or your site is hacked. I’m hoping it’s wrong but you should check out your installation.

Thanks for the fast reply, maybe a false positive. I scanned the whole directory on the server with no problems, but the WP AntiVirus picked up something.. maybe they got some problems? Hope not me, LOL, thanks again, Groggo

Try this: copy the file /themes/asteria-lite/asteria-config.php to /themes/asteria-lite/asteria-config.txt and visit that in your browser.

    https://your-wordpress-url-here/wp-content/themes/asteria-lite/asteria-config.txt

The visit this link in another tab or browser window.

    https://themes.svn.www.ads-software.com/asteria-lite/0.8/asteria-config.php

Do a stare-and-compare or even save those to files to your PC or Mac. Then examine the 2 files. If they appear to be the same then it’s probably a false positive. If your copy is different then something may be going on with your installation.

Use this diffchecker.com to highlight the difference between the 2 files.
