Visibility is not imported from CSV

    Hi,

    I am trying to import “Visibility” parameter for a product vis CSV, tried values from both “Visibility” product parameter (Public / Private) and “Catalog Visibility” (Shop and search results / Shop only / Hidden), still nothing works.

    Could you pls suggest what value should I set in my CSV “Visibility” column to trigger product as visible / hidden?

    For example, when I import “Status” the same way – it works fine, either Draft or Published, product is correctly updated.

    Hi @alexandreyev,

    You can import the catalog visibility of a product as hidden or visible using the tax:product_visibility column. If you are required to make the product hidden then you may please provide the data “exclude-from-catalog|exclude-from-search” in the tax:product_visibility column and to make the product as visible you may please leave the tax:product_visibility column blank. Please refer to the screenshot.

    Please make sure that the tax:product_visibility column is mapped against the tax:product_visibility field in the import mapping.

    Hi @webtoffee, I received your reply on my email, however I do not see it here… Anyway, thank you for your help and solution worked with one exception:

    When I set “tax:product_visibility” as “exclude-from-catalog|exclude-from-search” – it works and product becomes “Hidden”.

    But if I import the same product with tax:product_visibility switched back to blank (to make the product visible again) – product still stays hidden. I guess it has something to do with the importer disregarding new field value if it’s blank?

    In order to update the visibility of a product from hidden to visible, you may please provide the data as “visible”. Please refer to the screenshot.
