The form is using a number of visibility rules, the most important of which is used in calculating the total cost.

For most folks, it’s working. There have been a couple of folks that could not register because all the fields that aren’t supposed to be visible, are visible.

Any history of compatibility issues behind firewalls or with the wrong browser?

  • Hello @oakhillman !

I trust you’re doing well today!

I’ve checked the form, but it seems that for me in Safari and Chrome the visibility rules are working correctly, ie. I can see additional fields show up when I fill the details of additional attendees.

We’d certainly would like to take a closer look at the issue here. Please export the form and upload it to a cloud drive (Google Drive, Dropbox etc.) and please share the link to it through our contact form:

    Hi @oakhillman

    Thank you for the email

I checked the form on my lab site and it worked as expected as well

Do you know if the reported situations happened in any specific browser or OS?

I tested Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

An alternative for the conditionals is adding a “Number of Attendee” box, so if the user enters 3 it will show Attendee 1, Attendee 2 & Attendee 3 fields.

Let us know the information about the browser.
    Best Regards

I’ll see if I can get more information about the computer that the person was using. I think it’s in a school. He was able to register using his phone connected to his carrier’s Internet. Said he has trouble on other sites with the computer.

I like your idea of entering the “number of attendees.” I can then simply multiply the number by the price to arrive at a total cost.

I sure appreciate you looking at this. Speaks volumes about WPMU. I’ll let you know if I can get more information.

I’m curious, do you know if it’s even possible for a firewall to deny the visibility rules functionality?

    Hello @oakhillman !

I hope all is well and thank you for the kind words!

This may be related to some browser cache then or an add-on in the browser. Firewall – usually doesn’t cause any issues in those cases, but we’ve seen for example adblockers and password managers causing some odd issues with JavaScript code. Please also ask about those if you get a chance.

About the number of attendees – just FYI, we’re planning to include a repeater/group field type in one of the upcoming major updates so this will be even easier to achieve. You will simply create a group that will be displayed x times depending on the number of attendees an user provides. We don’t have any ETA yet, but it’s one of the updates our team wants to introduce to the plugin.

We’re looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Warm regards,
    Pawel

    Hello @oakhillman ,

We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t need our assistance anymore.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards

Sorry for not responding. I probably shouldn’t contact the end-user as we had to cancel the event. I did simplify the form to not use visibility rules. We only had a handful of registrations after that and none complained. If I decide to contact the end-user I will come back here and update this thread.
