• Hello developers,

I have Elementor 3.6.4 and Elementor pro 3.6.5, visibillity logic 2.3.0 – and after updating Elementor two days ago, suddenly the Visibillity Logic plugin does not see logged in users anymore. Our whole logged-in-users section is dead. Even I (as Admin) get to see empty pages because the Visibillity Logic plugin does not see me as logged in. No one can view any content on the user pages anymore. Just when I was on the verge of buying the pro version of your plugin…

This caused me so much headaches the whole day yesterday, working late to remove all Visibillity Logic conditions on all elements that use it. That’s 6 user-pages with around 240 elements total that use those conditions.

It was all going sooo well with the plugin, I loved it. But I can’t buy it when it’s incompatible with Elementor. Also, there were other problems that seem to be related to Visibillity Logic: logging in to the user pages too ages since last month, and monday it was even a full minute ?? Now that the plugin is not active, everything runs smooth again, go figure.

I have a system info file on pastebin, where do I put the link?
(Yes there are a lot of backend plugins for the ease of the client that is not technologically versed, but in swift the division is made to keep those away from the front end).

Is there ANY way you can fix this incompatebillity between Visibillity Logic & Elementor within a reasonable timeframe? Not just for me, there have to be others that no doubt have the same problem…

    Sad greetings,
    Hans

  • Hi Hans,

    Sorry for the experience

In this case, do you mind sharing with us the exact replication steps so that we can carry out tests based on this?

As for the Pastebin link, please do send it as a reply here.

We look forward to your reply

    Kind Regards,

    John

    Hi @hansvannoord
have you figured out what was causing that? We haven’t found something to link our plugin with any issues you described.
    Thanks

Hi, and thanks for following up!
I have not found the cause yet, but I am preparing a page for you where you can log in, and see the content as logged user. I am extremely busy rightnow, but I hope to have it ready by tomorrow, including info about the system setup, plugins and a template of the page itself, so you can examine how the page is making use of your plugin and Elementor. The site owner is adamant about not granting anyone access (not even her own mother hehehe), so this seems the best and most included option.

I will post here tomorrow when I havde it ready for you, and thanks for the assistance.

    Hi Hans,

    Hope you are fine.

I just wanted to check in with you regarding this issue since it has now been a couple of days since your last message to us. Did you perhaps manage to have this resolved? If not, you may share with us the system info.

We look forward to your reply.

    Kind Regards,

    John

    Hi John,

I’m truly sory for the delay. Stuff keeps popping up. But I will get on it right now and will bring some info etc within a few hours. I think the best for you would be to see a working page and have access to editing with Elementor pro (which I use primarily) so besides the sys-info i will offer some more. Be back before lunch (C.E.T +2, Amsterdam), and thanks for your patience and diligence. I hope we can solve it so I can buy the plugin and toss the other dynamic visibillity plugin that now handles the ACF fields (just ‘hide when empty’ stuff primarily). I assume your plugin can handle that as well, and so I could use just 1 plugin for all visibillity needs ??

    Hi @johnweru,

As promised (but long overdue) a mountain of info, data, templates and then some. I really hope I did not forget something elemental, but in case I did, just ask for it ??

System information can be downloaded directly:
    pastebin: https://pastebin.com/S9PerNud
    Password: staxx (with 2 x’s)
This System info file is also in the downloadable .zip file.

Templates (including a word doc with explanation and details)
    can be downloaded from FileTransfer.io:
    https://filetransfer.io/data-package/YFdIhGcU#link

The file download contains 3 templates, a word doc with an indepth explanation about the pages on the website that are experiencing this problem, and the system info file. However, if you are impatient and wish to do some action before downloading the zip-file, you can!

    Go here:
    https://www.mindfulness-op-maat.nl/wp/visibillity-test-page-1/

Read the grey notes, and proceed to login:
    Name: Stax
    PW: Stax

After login you will be redirected to an identical page, but that one is Staxxified. You can also visit that page first, to see what a non-logged visitor sees when accessing that page directly without logging in…. URL:
    https://www.mindfulness-op-maat.nl/wp/visibillity-test-page-2/

As you will notice, logging in does not quite trigger the Stax conditions….
Any questions, requests or feedback, will be answered as soon as I can find time.
Thank you for your time and efforts, I hope we can put this conundrum to rest so I can buy the plugin and be on my merry way ??

    Hans

PS: I have the G.o.T. ‘Shame’ gif at hand, just in case everything is my own fault and my incompetence caused all this, adding to the ever present Impostor Syndrome. Sigh. ??

    Hi @johnweru,

I’d love to comply but I can’t see any ‘edit’ links at that reply,
    only on this reply…

How can I edit that reply to remove the generic data?
I can’t edit or delete it, am I missing something here?

    Thanks

    Hi Hans,

Thanks for keeping in touch with us

In this case, please see the forums Faq here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#will-you-delete-my-post-once-the-problem-is-solved .

About the issue in question here, I checked into your templates and I see the Visibility Logic is only applied to the section with the login form as well as the contents within the section. Basically you have visiblity settings “Hide Login form section for logged in users”. So this condition will only be triggered within the template if the users are logged in, hence hiding the section containing the form. So in short the section containing the form will not be visible for logged in users.

Unfortunately I wasn’t in a position to login using the details you shared. However, in your query here, you stated that “suddenly the Visibility Logic plugin does not see logged in users anymore. Our whole logged-in-users section is dead. Even I (as Admin) get to see empty pages because the Visibillity Logic plugin does not see me as logged in. No one can view any content on the user pages anymore.” The only content you shouldn’t have a view of is the section containing the login form.

If hence you had other content generated by other plugins within the section, then this explains why you are not in a position to view the content (since the visibility settings are applied to the whole section). In such a case, I would recommend disabling the visibility conditions on the section and only having the conditions within the element containing the form. The section containing the “Stax Visibillity Test” text and background image should however be displayed at all times since the Visibility logic settings are not applied on it.

On the other hand you are only having a view of a blank white screen upon logging in, then this is most likely an issue that may not only have to do with the visibility logic plugin settings, since the plugin settings are only applied on an element or sections where they are set. It would most likely be potentially as a result of a conflict in settings form other plugins you are using or a general plugin conflict.

I would suggest on counter-checking on this, depending on the instance you are encountering.

Let us know how it goes.

    Kind Regards,

    John
