• Anyone having issues with the visit counter? Yesterday I had a huge drop in number of visitors and today it has been stuck on 3 since morning. I have asked several people to visit my page or find is via Google and the number is not changing.

EDIT: 10 minutes after I made this post the counter started working again with a normal flow of visitors in just 5 minutes after a dead period of 6 hours

is the page if it makes a difference. Although I could still see some other daily page hits trickling in. I am thinking something changed recently?

You would think that would be a pretty common plugin set.

Did you find any reason for the outage?

I just updated Gutenberg and “empty cache”. Seems to work now.

I didnt do anything to make the visit counter start counting again. It happened by itself. It seems I have periods on several hours where the visit counter does not work. For example now it is noon and the visit counter is stuck on 2 even though I have made severa visits using other devices and IPs. I am using version 12 thought since version 13 and up is not safe so that might be the issue. But these outages are still anoying. Especielly when they happen on weekends with lots of visits I would like to analyze.

Do you people have the 13.0.7 version?
After latest update it show wrong statistics on all my websites.
It seems he stopped publishing the upadates on pluginarchive.com which would reveal what changes he did, this is also suspicious.
Update: all versions of plugin are here.

I have found my issue, the plugin is not compatible with Cache plugins, i use
WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache after disabling it the statistics begin to count as before, wonder if any other cache plugins have same problem.
Hope this will be of use for you guys and the developer of this plugin.

Disabling cache plugin does the trick so now I have to choose between having a visit counter or a slow page…

    Hi @japanoholic
After i tested longer the statistics were counted without cache but they still did not grow my traffic back as it was, then i did a downgrade of the plugin and the statistics went as before for a day and again the same story, low traffic next day, i suspect the developer has some remote code implemented in the plugin or my server hosting is doing something to damage my traffic. Did not found yet exactly the cause, still troubleshooting by disabling updated plugins before my website traffic dropped.
This could be 2 different issues but i feel we are in the same boat, even the cache is irrelevant for me if I do not know the real statistics.
P.s. i doubt the developer will reply to free users and those who not donate, but how can I donate for a dubious plugin?

    Hello all
I found the solution to my problem, it seems that even if you disable cache plugin you must go to Settings of Statistics plugin and untick the (Use Cache Plugin:) check box, then save settings, for some reason I forgot to do that, after this the statistics have begin to work as before.
So very sorry for my previous message, anyway the plugin needs to be fixed to work with cache plugin or the cache plugins need to do some coding to work with statistics plugin.
Also must say that this looks the best plugin for statistics out there, hope the developer will listen and create a paid add-on to show a wave chart on front end similar like on https://dan.com/buy-domain/viola.be for domain names, so the buyers will see the traffic in a chart like in backend, not just hit numbers.
