visit site redirects me to localhost page

  • hello.i am using ubuntu 13.10 and working on wordpress 4.0 version.after installation i am able to access my dashboard but when i am clicking on visit site on dasboard after publishing my posts then it redirects to localhost(it works) and i am unable to visit my new site. please guide me to solve this issue so i am able to access my new site.thank you.

  • Check in Dashboard > General Settings and make sure the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are correct. You might have URL of localhost over there.

    i checked that already and also changed that to my website name but still i am unable to visit to my website.

    Try this, change your permalinks settings back to the default, save, you will see that your links are now working. You can then change back to post name or whatever you were using before.

    Also access your database and make sure from the wp_options table your siteurl and home values are set the way you want them.

    i tried but not worked for me ??

    OK go to your appearance–>menus and make sure your custom home links are correct.
