I applied this code in my blog post: [yasr_visitor_votes]

And it looks like this to a new visitor: https://prntscr.com/nv0ndx

How is the reader supposed to know that they’re able to vote if it’s already filled out? If they hover over the stars, they can select a rating. However, it could be confusing to the reader that they have the ability to rate.

    My question is:

Is it possible to make it look like this instead: https://prntscr.com/nv0o9p

Hi, thank you for using YASR!

Short answer: it’s not possible (at least not yet).

I don’t think this is a usability problem. Every site out there work in the same way, and since I release the plugin 5 years ago this is the first time an user has this remark.

Hovewer, you can add a simply text before the stars, something like:

    “How useful was this?”
    shortcode

    Best,
    Dario

    You’re welcome.

If you’re using auto insert feature, you can customize text before/after stars in the settings
