Visual Composer/Editor not working after WordPress update

I have the problem that I am unable to utilize the visual composer since the update of wordpress . . .

I am lost . . . any recommendation(s) ?

but I can’t update the plugin to my website cause I got a upload limit of 2mb, and the file is 4.4mb.. I’m trying to improve my upload limit so I can see if it works..

I am having the same issue. I upgraded to 4.5 and visual composer will not load. someone said to manually downgrade but i do not have access to my companies FTP Client server. What the heck should I do? I literally cannot edit my company site.

what’s your version of the Visual Composer plugin? The latest is 4.11.2
I’m using the 4.5.3 and can’t upgrade to the newest ??

Its says 4.5 – now, I know google has been threatening to no longer support Java Script – but I tried in both Chrome and IE…I wonder if this upgrade was a preemptive strike to protect us if Google stops supporting Java— Visual Comp is all java…

@seurah: You’re extremely foolish to download a copy of that plugin from someone’s website. 1) It’s a pirate copy of a paid plugin. 2) You have no idea if the plugin has been modified. If you need an update for WPBakery Visual Composer, get it directly from the developer https://vc.wpbakery.com/ and use FTP (or your host’s file manager) or update the plugin from your WordPress plugin dashboard.

You don’t need to increase your upload limit, because you don’t upload this type of thing through the WordPress Media Library.

You will need to use FTP or your hosting services file manager tools to put the updated files onto your website.

And as Mark says, get the legitimate versions. Trusting the files of some random site on the internet is a great way to get yourself hacked. Get the files from your theme or plugin author directly.

My dashboard says that the 4.7.4 is the most up to date – I will try the link Mark sent…

2) You can upgrade by buying a license and, per their documentation, apply this to any theme that has it included.

3) Only use OFFICIAL links from OFFICIAL sources.
