    Hello,

I don’t know if this has to do with Blocksy, but it happened after the latest Blocksy Update (WordPress was 6.2.2 at the time, but has since been updated to 6.3).

So, the visual editor (Gutenberg) is now broken. It is not WYSIWYG anymore, but seems to have lost all styling. I cannot use most of the authoring tools anymore, because I don’t see their effect. Although the preview is still formatted fine (as are the real webpages). I’ll include a screenshot of how the editor looks for this post on my website:

Maybe someone can shed any light on this or has any thoughts what I could try?

Is it possible to downgrade Blocksy just to see whether that could be an issue?

    Kind regards,

    Ulrich

  • Hello @ulim

We have currently identified a similar case and are investigating. We will get back to you asap.

    Thanks.

I’m having the same problem with my editor. I basically am having to trial-and-error my way through editing, as what I see in Gutenberg is not very representative at all of what the site ends up looking like.

I am also having the same reported problem with the editor. Markdown, style, font size are missing with the new update. Please let us know if possible to revert the update, or please provide a newer version as soon as possible.

In my tests, the editor is broken when a Google Font is selected in:

Appearance > Customize > Typography > Base Font

When I change the base font to “Arial”, the visual editor works. When I back to “Open Sans”, visual editor breaks.

    Hello guys.

Sorry for the headache on this one. We have also managed to identify the issue and a fix will be pushed out soon. Make sure you update as soon as it reaches you.

Thank you to all of you!

    Hello guys,

An update was pushed just now that should fix this issue. Please update to 1.9 and everything should be ok.

    Thank you.

I can confirm that it works again, many thanks!

    Ulrich

I confirm too. With a Google Font selected, the editor works again.

It doesn’t work for me. If I use Google Fonts it is broken, if I switch to one of the systems font it works as intended.

    Hi @gyrkin

Did you updated the theme and companion plugin to latest versions?

Also did you cleared your browser caches?

@creativethemeshq, yes I updated the theme and the companion. Theme version is 1.9.0, Blocksy Companion is 1.9.0 and WordPress version is 6.3. I cleared cache, it doesn’t work either. I was using Poppins. Right now I move to Helvetica temporarily and waiting for a fix.

    Hi @gyrkin

Hm, I have tested this thoroughly and it seems to not reproduce. Unfortunately, this means that it might be something with your existing setup.

Would it be possible to take a backup of this site and send it to us for analysis, to see what went wrong? You can take it with a simple plugin like this one – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/.

In this way, we will be able to quickly figure out what went wrong.

    Thanks!

I can send but its size is about 2 GB. How can I send it to you? If you can give step by step information I can send you.

    Hello @gyrkin

You should be easily able to use the wetransfer.com service here – https://wetransfer.com. It should allow you to upload files up to 2 gb in size.

    Thanks.

@cteduard I’ve sent it through ticket. Thank you for your efforts.
