Visual Editor is not activated

  • I have The Suffusion Theme version 4.4.6.

    When I go to create a new post or page or event or just about anything that allows the use of the TinyMCE the visual tab is disabled and I cannot use it.

    Have any of you come across this feature before? If you have, did you manage to restore the Visual editor and how?

    So far, I have gone through the process of deactivating all plugins to see if that made a difference but it did not.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
