I’ve installed the WP 2.6.2 and everything is working great, with the exception of the Visual Editor, and this is a HUGE issue for those who’ll be posting in the blog do NOT know HTML… so, here’s what’s going on.

In IE 7, when I click on “Write” the page’s progress bar creeps along, and freezes on saying: “Waiting for https://canwetalkaboutthis.org/wp-admin/post-new.php”.

When the browser indicates an error, it shows two:
    Line: 1
    Char: 70
    Error: Permission denied
    Code: 0
    URL: https://canwetalkaboutthis.org/wp-admin/post-new.php
    and
    Line: 106
    Char: 2
    Error: Permission denied
    Code: 0
    URL: https://canwetalkaboutthis.org/wp-admin/post-new.php

Now, the cursor blinks in waiting in the “Title” box, but I can’t click into the “Post” window or use any of the toolbar buttons.

Now, I’m not having this problem in Firefox, BUT I don’t get all the buttons that IE provides. Also, like I stated before, I’m going to be using this with people who don’t know HTML and most of them don’t have Firefox (and it would probably discourage them from not posting at all if they had to do something “extra” to participate in this new blog… and I want to make this as easy as possible so they’re encouraged to do this).

I’ve tried to research this issue and come up with a LOT of info. I’ve tried re-uploading the wp-includes directory. I’ve tried disabling plug-ins and even try new plug-ings like “TinyMCE Advanced” and “WP Super Edit” as a potential fix for the issue. I also tried clearing the cache, restarting, etc. But nothing has worked so far.

So please help if you can, and thank you for any direction you can give. Much appreciated!
