Visual Editor looks fine, but publishes wrong

    So, I’ve composed in my Visual Editor and all looks fine, but when previewed and published, all formatting disappears. What gives? Everything I can find is updated.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • The visual editor always causes problems. I haven’t used a theme out there that has figured it out.

    A couple of rules I have developed over the past couple of years :

    1) Never switch between editors on the same post
    2) Learn HTML and use the HTML editor.

    Anyone out there with a different experience and opinion, I’d love to hear about it.

    I would try switching to TwentyTen or TwentyEleven theme and see if that keeps on happening. The visual editor is perfectly fine and works well. I things are not looking great once published, your theme might be stripping out html tags.

    If that still doesn’t work, try deactivating all of your plugins.
