Visual Editor No Longer Working in 3.6

Same as me…! I am also suffering this problem after upgrading to 3.6.1.
I tried all the possible process to get solve, but still same. So what should I have to follow? Anything else?

sorry WPyogi, i get the error in my bench test site, so i didn’t upgrade in the main site. i’m busy now, i will re-start the question soon, when i get the time, please forgive me.

Just to add clarification, I am not using symple-shortcodes plugin.

When you rest the plugins folder, did you use FTP or Phpmyadmin? If you used the FTP method, please try Phpmyadmin.

@esmi – I did the reset as indicated via phpmyadmin. It did reset the plugins folder, but that did not solve the problem.

There’s 1 step you do not seem to have tried – re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

@esmi – I am really concerned by this. The site is a really big site. I am concerned about a re-install and then upload because this isn’t exactly something I am used to doing and if this site goes down or can’t be put back together in exactly the same shape very quickly, this will cause tremendous problems with my client.

Th is not a re-install. You are simply uploading a fresh set of WordPress core files.

Go to dashboard, users and check your profile for the visual editor setting.

Hey all,

We are experiencing the same issue, and we noticed (while using Firebug) that WP 3.6 “adds” a class to the Visual Editor that was not present in 3.4.1 (and others). While the editor works with the default themes, our custom theme is broken due to this. Before drilling down into our specific theme problem, we wanted to post this in case it shed light on what looks to be a pervasive issue.
Here are links to two pictures showing what the Visual Editor element looks like in 3.4.1 and 3.6, with the differences noted. I’m not a programmer, so if my details are a bit off, forgive me.
