    The visual editor is not working – there is no button for visual editor appearing and I simply see the html code box. I know this is a problem that has plagued others and some have been able to fix it using a variety of solutions. None of these have worked for me. Here is what I have tried:

    Disabling all plugins
    Reinstalling WordPress
    Changing the wpconfig.php script
    Using the Google Libraries plugin
    Using the Hotfix plugin
    And, yes, the ‘disable visual editor’ box is NOT checked and, yes, I have refreshed the cache multiple times.

    What else can I do to get this back up and running? Any help greatly appreciated.

    @camillegabel: As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

    Try adding

    define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);

    to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

    Can you tell me why you think that would work since wordpress seems to be working fine on every other computer – except the one I am using now? Just can’t understand why I should need to change the config file..

    @derbyseo – thanks this solved my issue with Visual/Text panels.

    It didn’t solve my issue – please create your own post rather than hijacking this one.

    I wouldn’t call it hijacking, it was simply seeing if the problem was more than just Visual/Text panel and maybe involves a larger scope to solve the issue. [Moderated] I amended my post to remove the ‘extra scope’ issue, best of luck with solving yours.
