Visual editor not working after update to 3.9

I think i have narrowed it down to the theme causing the problem because all plugins and visual editors work on the twenty fourteen theme template but when i switch back to my existing theme, the visual editors go blank again. any help to correct from this point forward with my proper theme???

Sorry, with that last reply, I am not sure what I should be looking for in the link you sent.

Do you have any of those plugins? The visual editor is usually referred to as TinyMCE.

Oh, no I compared the list to my plugins and they are all different.
    Any other suggestions?
Is there a way to copy a list for you to see?

Deactivate them all temporarily, then activate one by one until you see which one is the offending one.

If you find it, comment on the “Master List” post.

I had the same problem and I deactivated all my plugins and then it worked….re-activated them one at a time (I have 50 plugins). Wouldn’t you know the problem plugin was the last one, Ziplist. This worked for me, but I don’t know if that is the actual problem causing the editor to not show up.

I’d bet that its an issue with one of the plugins on your site. Deactivate them all and clear your browser cache and it may come back.

Many plugin authors haven’t updated there plugins to work with the latest version of TinyMCE like they were asked too.

Thanks, tried all of the suggestions and the only way I was able to have it work was to actually change the theme to the twenty fourteen template and it would work, thus leading me to think it is the theme itself. I did try deactivating all plugins, cleared caches etc. and still did not work.

Developer of my site fixed issues with broken functions that were blocking the visual editors and it now seems to be working.
thanks for all the suggestions though.

    case closed.
