• We have a page containing a table in which I want a number of blank lines. I can do this manually, in ‘Text’ editor tab, by putting ‘ ‘ in each <td>.

Problem is as soon as I switch back to ‘Visual’ editor tab all of my  ‘s get lost!

    Is this a known bug?

    Thanks,
    Nick

  • Don’t try to add HTML markup & then use the Visual editor. Don’t switch editing tabs. That’s the fastest way to remove some (or all) of your markup. Pick a tab and stick to it.

It is the way in which TinyMCE (a 3rd party editor ported into WordPress) works. In fact, pretty much all WYSIWYG editors work like this.
