• Hello, I have a problem…

I’ve currently got five installations of WordPress running on my server space, which runs various themes and plug-ins fine with no issues. Four of my installations are totally up to date, and one is running 2.8.6 (I think).

I have a similar problem to what seems to be rampant from a Google search, in that either my Visual or HTML tab is the only tab showing (It’s only the Visual tab on 3 sites, and only HTML on the other 2).

I’m working on a MacBook Pro. The problem occurs on Firefox, Safari & Chrome. I’ve cleared the browser cache on all three applications. I’ve restarted the machine a number of times and reset the P-Ram.

The problem does not occur on another Mac, nor on a PC.

    Any advice?

You’ve not got the box ticked to disable the visual editor?
Also, disable all your plugins, just to see if it’s one of those causing the problem.

It’s definitely nothing to do with plugins because all of my installations are very different, some with virtually no plugins. Also WordPress functions fine on another PC / Mac.

I think the problem is solved. I have had the problem on my college network, after weeks of it working correctly. I’ve just tried at home and everything is working fine, so I guess it was something on the college network kicking in and blocking certain things…
