  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

The only thing I haven’t done is switch themes – but I did the other plugin specific changes you suggested and it didn’t help. I’ll post in the theme forum to see if anyone else has had an issue.

Switching themes, and switching back takes just seconds. It is to rule out theme specific problems.

A developer told me this and it worked:

Download CKEditor. It works. I have a new and improved visual editor!

And I don’t have a clue about this code stuff.

That does not fix the editor. It just adds a new one via the plugin route. A good work around but the problem may manifest itself later in other ways.

    I’m having the same issue
