• Hey there. I programmed up a plugin to use the Geshi syntax highlighter, and was having problems getting my text to format correctly in the WordPress editor. For example, it wouldn’t let me space correctly. Every time I tried to do more than one space, the text editor would remove it. It was also displaying HTML like an actual web site.

To get around this, I had to turn off the visual rich editor in my profile. Is this common with other syntax highlighters, or is there a way to get the visual rich editor to cooperate?

As a side note: yes.. I know there are other plugins for syntax highlighting. But I wanted to do it myself to learn how plugins were made.

Quite common in my experience. I’ve used CAE and IG:somethingorother and neither worked fer beans in that wysisyg thingy.
