Visual Tab does no respond

  • We are running WP5.5.1, since this update the Visual tab will not respond. We are only able to do our editing in the Text tab. I have read through many topics on this and tried the options to resolve to no avail. In our Settings/Writing the Classic Editor is the default. How do I get rid of Gutenberg and will it resolve this issue. Thank you,

  • Read the pinned post at the top of the support forum. It’s likely you have a different plugin running old javascript or jQuery.

    Look for “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin” about 3 paragraphs down.

    My problem was the opposite – stuck in Visual tab and couldn’t activate Text. But installing the plugin above helped me identify the problem plugin.
