    The problem with that is that it will require an interface that won’t be compact anymore. I will look into adding a new shortcode maybe.

    If you are using WordPress 3.6 and up, and don’t mind the wider player, you can use the built in WordPress shortcode for audio which does have volume controls available to site visitors.

    This would be a good workaround until the plugin author has a chance to add volume controls (or not) to the plugin.
