Volunteer added twice

First, thanks for creating this plugin – it is just what I need!

Here’s my issue: I have two slots for each hour, and when a volunteer signs up, they are added twice to the time frame they choose. I want two different people each hour, not the same person. I am able to delete the second sign up but want to know why this is happening. Thanks!
