    Hello,
We have a significant problem using the plugin.
We are currently running elections on our website and the forms are set up to allow a maximum of 5 votes per user.
Despite this, users are receiving a message that they are only allowed to select one answer. I cannot see what I have done wrong.

I have set the voting per user to 5 for each survey under Options Access.
As these are temporary book elections, a quick answer and solution would be great.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello

I see that you are allowing votes from your users only.

In this case we recommend the following settings

    1. Block Voters set to “Don’t Block”
    2. Limit Number Of Votes per User set to “Yes”
    3. Votes Per User set to 5

With these settings, your voters will vote 5 times for the specific poll.

Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

Heya, thank you for your quick response. I’ve now been able to solve the problem myself. I didn’t know that you also have to enter the number of votes again under the question/answer options (see picture)

This is very confusing in the setup, because I had already done this under Options/Access.

What is the point behind this?

    Best regards, Jay

    Hello

The options you are referring to have a different purpose.

For example, if your question has 5 answers, by default voters can only choose one answer when voting.
But when you set “Allow multiple answers” to “Yes” and “Maximum answers allowed” to “5”(like in the screenshot you sent over), voters will be able to choose up to 5 answers when voting.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Hey,
hmmm… I can understand the attitude under the answers. That’s the process I wanted (Second Screenshot).
But I still don’t understand why I have to enter the possible number of votes again under Options / Access (First Screenshot). Isn’t this the same thing? But perhaps it is also translated incorrectly in terms of meaning…

In any case, thanks for the quick answer. ??

    Best regards, Jay

    Hey Jay

I may have missunderstood your requirement.

If you want to allow voters to choose up to 5 answers when voting, then the settings on the second screenshot are correct.

The settings under Options -> Access are to control who and how many times can vote.

As an example, the settings I have initially recommended allow your voters to cast up to 5 votes.

If you don’t want to limit how many times a person can vote, you can set “Limit Number Of Votes per User” to “No”.

    Hope this helps.

So I assume that the option under screenshot 1 shows how often someone can take part in the poll – and screenshot 2 shows how many votes they can cast each time …
If this is the case, the German translation is very confusing and should be changed.
Can I help you with that? The sentence just needs to be reworded.

I have another question: We have been flooded with spamvotes. If I delete these votes in the logs, will the current poll results change?

    Greetings, Jay

    Hey Jay

Yes, you are correct on the 2 screenshots.
It would be great if you can help with the translation.

Regarding deleting the votes, Logs is not the place to do that.
On the Results page there is an option called “View Votes” where you can review each vote and delete(either one by one or in bulk).
Any vote deleted on this page will be removed from the poll results.

I am attaching a screenshot with this option.

This is a very good function. Unfortunately, I didn’t discover it – but I’ll know about it next time. Thx!!

    German Translation:
    Under Options -> Access->

“Anzahl Stimmen pro Benutzer beschr?nken” (Limit number of votes per user) it should say: “Anzahl der Teilnahme pro Benutzer beschr?nken” (Limit number of participation per user)

“Stimmen pro Benutzer” (Votes per user) it should say:
“Wie oft darf der Benutzer an dieser Umfrage teilnehmen?” (How often can the user participate in this poll?)

Nice to help you and many thx for the quick response and the great plugin!

    Jay
