voyage theme slider probs

Hi could anyone tell me how the hell do I get the slider set in feature home page feature template with voyage theme.

basically as it is on Stephens page. It has picture and some content on it. plus a more button, it looks fine on demo but its so hard to sort out. I have been working on it for three days but cannot sort it out.

I have done php and featured image etc but I have full blog slider not the one with new post slider with feature image and some text.

I would certainly be appreciate any help on this. Thankyou
