    Hi,

I would like to get some clarification on this. When one opens product edit page, there is a box for VPI images. The questions I have:

    1. Do those update automatically when I change one or more of product images?

    2. I often “duplicate” products. When I do, VPI image box contains data for original product. I usually just clear the data manually, but, if I am in a hurry, I may forget. Will those eventually get updated with correct data and, if yes, how long does it take?

well, no , if a post has VPI data already , despite it becomes incorrect or outdated as you have modified the post after VPI is generated , as it is expensive generation process

you may need to keep that field clean if you want to regenerate it

    Thanks,

Is there, perhaps, a filter one can use to clear this data? I can hook into product save action and, if image(s) change, I will be able to clear the data. If not, do you know what product metadata VPI is stored in? I can clear this field as required.

well , no , there is no filter for this

but this is a good idea, I will pass to our devs as feature suggest.
