• Hi,

I am having that age old issue, W3 config looks good but when I test my site with either Pingdom, GT Metrix or Google Page Speed, it moans at my lack of browser caching for https://wealth-hack.com. I tried searching around and spotted some references to updating the .htaccess file manually. Tried to update .jpg and .jpeg (the two files types really impacted) from the default ‘ExpiresByType image/jpeg A31536000’ to ‘ExpiresByType image/jpeg “access 1 year” ‘ to see if that made a difference. Nada (although interestingly enough, after a reboot my manual settings were gone, must be W3 reasserting control over .htaccess).

Any ideas from this wonderful community of W3 experts? I know a fix isn’t going to transform my site but would be wonderful to see the performance sites moan at me, slightly less:) Any help, much appreciated……
