W3 Error Crashing Site: Repeated, intermittent 404 "Page not found" errors

    Something triggered my site crashing yesterday. Thecrowdcafe.com. My hosting was up (I could access my backend Admin panel) but visitors going to my home page received 404 “Page not Found” errors on and off repeatedly throughout the day. It would work for 5 minutes, then not work.

    After 8 hours of misery, I finally disabled the W3 plugin and everything started working.

    Any thoughts on what happened? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

    (This all started after I posted a new piece of content; my server crashed and was down for ~10 seconds and then back up again, which always seems to happen; I’ve always been fine after the brief crash, but not this time. The W3 plugin went haywire.)
