W3 Total Cache
-
I suspect that W3TC is doing some really strange things to my website: https://chickenlimo.com.
I tried deleting the plugin and the whole site got erased, so I had to hire my host to do a restore which cost me about $80.00.
When I asked my host what happened, they stated that the files were moved outside of the wp-content folder into the w3tc folder, and therefore can’t edit any of those pages/posts/etc inside the wp dashboard.
When I log into the site, I immediately notice the following in the wp dashboard:
1) All plugins are inactive (but are being used on the site)
https://screencast.com/t/fcL5RvkaruZM2) No media attachments are shown (theme logo is missing and can’t replace)
https://screencast.com/t/FIWuhqQLpiY3) Only the “Sample Page” is shown, not any other pages (Video, Scheduling, Pricing, About Us, Contact Us, etc)
https://screencast.com/t/KBCt6mnMAicY4) The theme used for the site (Avada) is not activated
https://screencast.com/t/5cfqzqejNPI am nervous to touch anything b/c I don’t want to have to spend another $80.00 on restoring the site if it goes blank again.
Is there a way I can restore the wp site to it’s normal settings?
I’d like to safely remove the w3tc plugin and put things back to normal without having to rebuild or restore the site.
Please advise asap! Thank you so much!
Adam
