  • I’ve been scratching my head over this the last few days and just found this thread. I can confirm that disabling Object Cache from the general settings page in W3TC has fixed it for me. In my case I didn’t need to remove the object-cache.php file from /wp-content.

    Running:
    Backup buddy 3.2.0.2
    W3TC 0.9.2.8

yes even having it all disabled with the plugin active still breaks things in my setup, but it is a network install. I may need to investigate more on the individual sites since there is hooks from each.

I have confirmed in my network install ALL options are disabled at the network level and the individual site levels but it still does not work. If disabling object cache on a single install works….we have a fix, but I’m still dead in the water with the added network install.

    I found this article

    https://ithemes.com/codex/page/BackupBuddy:_Frequent_Support_Issues#HTTP_Loopback_Connections_Disabled

By adding define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true); to my wpconfig file it fixed it for me. Running W3 total cache with Object Cache enabled.

    Getting endless ping before that.
