w3 total cache v0.12.0. We are using the free version.

Are the cached elements aged? I.e., are cache files older that some date (or other criteria) removed?

    Hello @jimoe

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to answer.
The TTL (time to live) of page cache files is set via the “Expires header lifetime” field in the “HTML” section on the Browser Cache Settings tab.
The “Garbage collection interval:” is set in Performance>Page Cache>Advanced sub-box.
If caching to disk, with the Garbage collection interval you can specify how frequently expired cache data is removed. For busy sites, a lower value is best.
    Thank you!
