W3 Total Cache Clodflare. Load time 3.75 sec. :-(

  • I have been horsing around with this combo for a few days now and I cant seem to find a good setting that will work for me. W3 Total Cache is a little confusing and I’m not sure if my settings on cloudflare are helping or hurting W3 Total Cache.
    Has anybody got a list of settings that works well with cloudflare and W3 Total Cache?
    My home page is very simple with mostly text and hardly any widgets or images yet I can’t get the page to load under 3 seconds. My home page = https://giveawaygator.com/

    I’m also using Lazy loader and DBManager to help with load time and keep the data lean and mean.
    Before I started my Home page took 11 seconds to load so the plugins have helped but I just dont get why I can’t get below 3 seconds. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

    My page speed between 1.95s – 2.81s, but CloudFlare sometime offline. Any ideas???

    I’m additional using plugin with above mentioned page speed as below:

    1. Use Google Libraries;
    2. WP Smush.it;
    3. Plugin Organizer (testing speed with P3, still tuning it);

    Going to Testing:

    1. Thin Out Revisions Vs WP-Optimize;
    2. BJ Lazy Load Vs Lazy Load;

    Tested:

    1. jsDelivr – WordPress CDN Plugin with CouldFlare but my responsive theme’s style.css broken, any advise?
    2. Responsive theme’s cannot use inline CCS and/or JS minify and minify in W3TC, any advise?

    Pls empty all cache after testing each single step (change) for accurate results. I’m currently tuning Plugin Organizer as above mentioned.

    My page speed results = 1.62s, 1.16s, 1.33s, 1.17s & 1.10s at pingdom tools.

    Try it.

    I have the same problem with cloudflare not being available fro time to time. Personally I think it is a way for them to advertize their service because the screen you see when this happens is basically a ad.

    I have sort of given up with W3TC because there are way to many settings and variables for it to be practical. What other plugins work with it? what are the best settings? Who knows the variables are endless. I had some problems with my readers reporting frozen content….they only see content on my pages from a few weeks back and looks like the blog is not updating…This could be something that happened with a setting that changed after a update but still…

    If somebody ever makes a blog post about how to get this plugin to work right they will have a winner because everywhere you look on here you will see people that are confused and bewildered with all the settings in this plugin.
