[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] killed jquery slider

    There should be 5 screens that slide in the main box. Now, only the first screen appears, and it doesn’t change.

    I installed W3 Total Cache, and after playing with the settings (recommended settings from W3 install site), and once I noticed the jquery slider was broken, I uninstalled the plugin. Then I went into the FTP and removed the files from wp-content/ (as suggested in another thread).

    I still don’t have a working slider.

    I’ve asked my host to clear the cache from the server in hopes that will help.

    Any ideas?

    No replies, and no resolutions.

    I went through several iterations of install/uninstall of this thing to get my jquery slider working again No dice.

    Right now there are no crumbs left from W3TC on my site, but things still aren’t working.

    I have WP Super Cache back up and running (which I should never have gotten rid of in the first place), and I cannot find a way to make this slider activate again.

    CAN ANYONE HELP?

    Theres a ton of sliders out there. Maybe try to use a different slider. If your handy you could also make a basic slider yourself that wont conflict with other plugins. Tutsplus has a 30 days to Jquery course and in there is a simple script that seems to work great but it would have to be hardcoded into your site.

    It really is hard to tell what is going on without access to your sites backend. Which I understand is something you dont want to give to just anybody. Maybe find someone you can trust and have them take a peak. Sorry I couldn’t help more but I am still learning a bit myself.

    Hey, it turns out, after deleting just about everything W3TC touched, I had to disable all my plugins. That’s when I found the culprit: CommentLuv.

    I don’t know why it doesn’t let my slider work, but the W3TC is taken care of. Onward to another discussion!
