• Hey guys, I am having some troubles with a missing admin bar and disabled the W3 Total Cache plugin as part of my trouble shooting.

Now i noticed that even without the plugin, my site is still loading at the same speed with 221ms load time, tested with https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/cv4N0d/https://www.chrisontour84.de

Does it just take a while to change the test result or is there really no difference in the speed? I have checked in incognito mode as well and same result.

Mabye I should just leave my site without a caching plugin?

    Thanks
    Chris

Your site is very fast! I’m not sure that squeezing it would be worthwhile.

I use a combination of autoptimize and WP Super Cache on my sites.

So do you think i should turn it off? And maybe just use autooptimize?

I will run tests again and compare just to make sure. So now i have tested these results with W3 Total Cache activated:

02.56 seconds, faster than 60% from dallas
04.78 seconds, faster than 33% from melbourne
60.00 seconds, faster than 03% from San jose
00.21 seconds, faster than 99% from stockholm

I have deleted the plugin now and will test again later or tomorrow to compare.

Quick question until then: While the ping from Europe with me German provider is excelent, it is really bad from the US and Australia. Any chance to get this better or how do other websites achieve good resulsts worldwide?

    Thanks

And now the results with W3 Total Cache deleted:

03.09 seconds, faster than 52% from dallas (-8%)
05.17 seconds, faster than 30% from melbourne (-3%)
03.21 seconds, faster than 50% from San jose (+47%)
00.73 seconds, faster than 94% from stockholm (-5%)

So generally a bit bit worse, just the san jose seemmed to have a problem orginially. I will install the plug in again now and see if its back to normal and guess leave it with it then.

San Jose ping is back to normal, everything is a bit better with the caching pluging. So i will leave it.

If anyone could give any advice on this, it would be really appreciated!
