    Hi,

The site I am working on for a client uses a purchased Premium WordPress Responsive theme, Florida v.5.0.4 ( the latest). It’s a new blog and very small at present.

Plugins installed to increase speed are:
    W3 Total Cache Plugin 0.9.4.1
    WP Optimize Plugin v 1.8.9.7

    Browser Caching is enabled
    Gzip Compression is checked
Compression is on at the server end.
html, js and css are minified.
HTML minify settings, inline css, inline js all checked
js minify setting is combined, non-blocking using async
    css minify setting is combined

I have specified some external js and css files to be combined

After testing with Pingdom tools and PageSpeed Insights, I have been attempting to optimize W3 Total Cache plugin to try to improve the speed for both mobile and desktop.

    Pingdom Performance Grade: 81/100
PageSpeed Insights reports: 95/100 User Experience
Speeds 41/100 Mobile and 50/100 for desktop (Both poor)

I know the Revolution Slider plugin is an issue for render-blocking js, however the slider makes the site appealing and reluctant to remove the slider and replace with an image only.

The images have been prepared Photoshop as progressive jpegs and saved for web devices, so not sure what else we can do there??? The images are large as it fits with the site image, a style and Travel Blog.

I have been scanning the forum widely for tweaks and followed some. Any solutions on how to improve the speed without loading more onto resources would be appreciated?
    Thanks:)
