• Hi there!

On my server when i use Object cache option giving by W3 Total Cache Pro – test results in Zero score. This i tried using plugin’s multiple Object caching options – Redis, Memcached, APCu, etc. all of them fails.

At the same time if i used other plugins right on the same WP site such as:

Redis Object Cache, Object Cache Pro, APCu Manager, SQLite Object Cache, etc.. WP Benchmark shows results.

Can you please test W3 Total Cache whether it is doing the Object Caching properly as the Query Monitor is showing – W3 not doing much.

I want to skip object caching on W3 if it is its fault.

Without WP Benchmark Object Cache testing would have been difficult.

    Thanks.

Follow up: I tried monitoring whether the Redis is in place by going to the “site health” and it was fine there. Also, i monitored the Redis while the benchmark was running – yes, it was getting utilized. So, maybe its a glitch.

I opened a support thread on the W3 Total Cache’s plugin page and they said the same – that the “WordPress Hosting Benchmark tool” plugin wasn’t showing any result for the Object Caching after they ran the test. So, it is all left for you to find out Sir.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

yes, i can confirm – same here with W3 Total Cache.. It used to work before, when you enable “Enable caching for wp-admin requests” – but it is not working anymore. What can I say…. My plugin is purely using WordPress object cache functions – so it comes down to plugins, that are responsible for this functionality.

Unfortunately I don’t think I can help with this. My logic for these tests is that – plugin sets small value in the beginning and tries to read it later. If value is not being received from the cache later – plugin considers, that object cache is not working, as expected.

As you can see – it is working fine with Redis Object cache plugin from Till Kruss.
