• What is the best way to use this plugin so that the LATEST posts show up to all users (logged in or not).

Right now, if I tick enable page cache non-logged in users (majority of my visitors) don’t see the latest posts, and I don’t know how to get around it!

  • Uncheck the cache home page option and clear the cache.

You should have your caches clear, at least partly whenever you post so this dosn’t happen.

Ok I’m a bit stuck here. All my page cache settings are now unclicked, so is there even any point of using the plugin?

The way my site works is that posts are written and Published every few hours, so caches can’t constantly be cleared to make sure live users see the most up-to-date content.

The only options I see are to have all the options disabled or to empty the cache all the time, which obviously isn’t possible.

I want all users to be able to see the latest post/pages while caching is going on so it speeds up the site – any help people?

It’s possible, but it’s not a good idea, you’re right. However. If all you want is PAGE caching, w3tc is overkill and you should use WP Super Cache.

Where w3tc is the winner is minification, database/opcode caching, and CDN being included.

If you still want to use the page cache, UNCHECK “Cache home page” and leave the rest checked from that page.

Also see if you can use disk enhanced. I’ve never had a problem with that and my site, and I’ve had days where four posts went up right after the other.

Yeah I don’t think that will work for me. I have separate pages which have 50-60 posts per category and they all need to be up-to-date. If they’re not then people will just be seeing old headlines.

    I’m also using disk enhanced.

I’m really baffled that caching only seems to be fully functional in certain situations.

My site is https://www.wrestling-edge.com – the times I run into problems are where people click the WWE page, or the TNA page, etc. and the headlines showed to them are not up-to-date.

I’m surprised too. I’ve had other apps that cache have that problem, but never w3tc.

I mean, I KNOW that editing a post will invalidate the cache for a post and any pages that display it (like home pages) so you shouldn’t ever see that.
