• Hi, congrats for your works.

    If i test my website on W3C, i discover a problem with the meta itemprop=description of the social Google+ (the code before “<script type=’application/ld+json’>”).

    The error on W3C is:
    The itemprop attribute was specified, but the element is not a property of any item.

    I’ve tried to deactivate the meta tag of Google+ in the Yoast Social page, and the error disappear.

    Can you fix it? You can see it on “https://www.professionalworld.it

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hi, How did you fix this error?

    The error appears in all of my websites using the yoast plugin. It is weird that those three lines do not appear in yoast.com. So I don’t really understand what’s going on here.

    Hi drazon, ive found this error some weeks ago and sent an email to Yoast Staff.

    Ive fixed it by removing this code line:

    <meta itemprop=”description” content=”‘, esc_attr( $desc ), ‘”>

    in this file:

    wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-googleplus.php

    I hope it can help you.

    Thank you for the answer. Actually on the same file other than the description there is the title and the image. I get an error for those too. So I’ve disabled the google+ meta from Yoast social as that file doesn’t seem to do anything more than adding 3 errors to w3c validation. I will expect Yoast to use this on their website and fix the plugin before enabling this feature again.
