W3TC Breaking Audio Playlist & Store Images

  • W3 Total Cache is total crushing some of my site. It’s breaking WordPress’ default audio playlist (i.e., https://www.johnrothra.com/test-page/) and causing my WooCommerce store images to be too big. I’ve fixed the latter by disabling minify (cf. this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/hestia-vs-woocommerce-theme-distorts-images/).

    As to the audio playlist, as you can see, the list is not right. When I deactivate W3TC, the playlist looks and works correctly. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and using the Twenty Seventeen theme. The only time this happens is when W3TC is active. What’s going on with it? I’m starting to re-think using it after all these years.

    BTW, I’m using W3TC version 0.9.6.

  • I can confirm this bug. W3TC Minify kills CDATA of the shortcode [playlist].

    Has a solution been found for this yet? I’m experiencing a similar issue with audio playlists not working if W3TC is enabled.
