Hi, for some reason I am getting this error message when i try to go to admin and login.

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove D:\Hosting\9105530\html\wp-content\advanced-cache.php.

Is there an easy solution to this problem? Please say YES!

    Thank You

  • i am no expert, but just spent all day trying to download that plugin and then it causing my wp dashboard to vanish when i attempted to activate it. i chose to try to get rid of the plugin, since it seemed to be the problem. i figured out that i needed to go to my webhost’s control panel and into my file manager and then find the file that looks like that and delete it. then i tried getting my wp dashboard again, and got another error message telling me to delete yet another file. i now have my dashboard back, but don’t have the plugin i really wanted to install. i am not saying this is what you should do, but your situation sounds similar to mine. good luck.

Thank you news reporter. I did that to. Went to domain server and deleted file but am still getting the error. Even uninstalled wp hosting and reinstalled. Of course I will start from scratch for the second time but I will never use w3tc again. The plugin kept deactivating my other plugins too.

Back to the drawing board. LOL

Thanks for the help. I will continue trying to log in somehow ??

    God Bless

Sorry for the trouble. It’s important to check the web server error log to see what exactly has gone wrong when you see white screens and some error notifications.

Anyway, it sounds like the installation did not complete properly, I recommend re-starting the installation process and if it still fails please write me offline so I can have a look at your site to see what is special there.
