    Hi,
I’m liking the plugin so far, thank you.

Is there any possibility of setting the payment to only be charged/captured on the date of the pre-order release (or just before ideally).

    Eg:
    Pre order releases October 1st.
Customer purchases the pre-order item, but payment doesn’t come out of their bank until September 30th.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hello wigster,

Unfortunately, we do not offer that feature, and we do not plan to implement it in the future. The problem with charging the customer after the order was created and when the product becomes available is that we have to work with what is called payment tokens if we want to make it automatically. Since each payment gateway has a different way to work with these tokens, it would make our work increasingly difficult since we would have to maintain code for each gateway and we lack the time and the team to do such effort.
However, you could maybe find a middle point on what you want to achieve using WooCommerce Deposits (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-deposits/) you could make the users pay after a couple of days, but they will have to log in and enter the payment data manually. I know it is not ideal but maybe it serves as a patch for what you want to achieve.

    Best regards,
