• I use WAMP(software) in my localhost. Now when i installed wordpress in my Wamp server locally, it installed successfully and all its funcionality works allright but when i go to admin page ie.(when i click permalink https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/options-permalink.php) it says Apache.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close….. “send error report” “don’t send” dialog box.

Can anybody tell me how this can be possible using WAMP.

  • It sounds like a general Apache issue on the Windows machine hosting the WP site. In other words, Apache crashed loading the page. There are many reasons that this could happen.
Has the Windows Apache web server been up and running for some time? If yes, have you had problems loading other web pages? Which is to say, does Apache crash often on this machine.. Looks like you’re doing a local install, so perhaps you’ve not loaded many (or any) public Internet pages.

Also, can you view the public WP site?
