• Hi

Recently while optimising our site we came across ads being run through JS files.

    c.betrad.com and another.

I have tested disabling other plugins and WangGaurd seems to be the culprit.

Now I am up for supporting developers but when they are hiding code in their plugins to generate revenue is not a good practice.

Have removed this plugin and won’t be installing it again if they change their code.

    Hi @kyon147

WangGuard is not adding hidden code. We are not adding ads or something similar.

Can you tell me the JS file please?

Really now I need your help.

One year ago, someone said have the same problem

    But he didn’t help me.

One time, is an user error, but two times, maybe something happens.

I, as a WangGuatd developer, i don’t add ads, but I use third party JS files (ex. Statistics). I don’t think thae JS files has a hidden code, but I need to check it.

Problem, I never, ever saw that ads in my dev installs or live sites, and friends that are BuddyPress developers, as David Cavins, he never see that ads.

Idea: Another plugin is using WangGuard JS for show ads. Is it possible? Maybe, but I need a list of used plugins by you, without that list, I cannot check where is the problem.

Think about this, WangGuard is used by +20,000 users. WangGuard has 4.8 rate stars, it is recommended by a lot of BuddyPress developers and recommended in many WordCanps and BuddyCamps arround the world. Really do you think that WangGuard has arrived to this installation number or rate if it has ads?

Please, don’t do the same of the another user and help me with this. I need your plugins list for check it.

    Thank you

I’ve been looking for this problem in the WordPress forums, and there is another plugin developer with this problem.

    Can you check it please?
